Friend, if you've ever laid awake wondering what happens when this life ends, you're not alone, and it's not a question to be afraid of. Scripture is honest with us: every one of us has sinned and fallen short of God's standard, and that sin puts real distance between us and a holy God (Romans 3:23). That's the hard truth. But it's not the whole story.
Here's the good news: God didn't leave us there. He loved us enough to make a way back to Himself. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, took our place on the cross, paid the debt we couldn't pay, and rose from the dead to prove it was finished (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). You can't earn this. You can't work hard enough for it. It's a gift, plain and simple, given by grace and received through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9).
If you turn from your sin and put your trust in Jesus as your Savior, you don't have to wonder or hope you'll make it; you can know, right now, that you have eternal life (1 John 5:13). And once He holds you, He doesn't let go. That's not our promise. It's His.
